NWA 786
  

NWA 786 was found in the Sahara Desert near the Morocco/Algeria border in 2000.  Total weight is 385 grams.  It is has been classified as a Stone Chondrite type L3.8.

This specimen weighs 369 grams and measures 92mm by 58mm by 44mm at widest points.  It is a very nice, solid stone meteorite of a rare type - L3.8.   It has been cut in half to show the interior.  This piece represents the entire main mass as the only other piece in existance is the type sample sent to UCLA - $1800-
